BOOKS:
__Brock McElheran Music Reading by Intervals BRM-1 $24.95
A modern sight-reading and ear-training method
for singers, conductors, and teachers. Foreword by Robert Shaw. Dedicated to "countless musicians who through the ages have striven to perform music which at first seemed strange and difficult," this book is based on a method developed by the author in his fifty years of conducting and teaching. An essay on historic methods of teaching music-reading is followed by exercises, interval by interval. The music examples are all drawn from works by master composers, mainly from 20th-century repertory. The book is designed for individual and/or classroom use.
